Horror fans across the country flocked to cinemas as The Conjuring: Last Rites premiered on September 5, 2025, delivering Hollywood’s biggest opening weekend of the year at the Indian box office.

Released in four languages—English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the ninth installment in the Conjuring Universe topped both domestic and global box office charts.

The film opened on 2,130 screens, including IMAX, and collected:

  • Day 1: ₹17.31 crore

  • Day 2: ₹17.03 crore

  • Day 3: ₹15.2 crore

Total: ₹49.54 crore net (₹58.45 crore gross) in its three-day opening weekend.

This marks the biggest opening ever for a Hollywood horror film in India and Warner Bros.’ strongest debut in the country. It also stands as Hollywood’s top opening weekend of 2025 in India.

About the Film
